Mizzou Advantage will end officially June 30, 2018, so that resources can be invested in new programs and initiatives that can advance scholarly activities at MU. We appreciate your support over these past eight years and wish you continued success.

When will Mizzou Advantage end?
Mizzou Advantage will officially end on June 30, 2018, so that resources can be invested in new programs and initiatives to continue to advance scholarly activities at MU for the foreseeable future.
How will MU continue to invest in research?
As Chancellor Cartwright stated in his campus-wide address on Feb. 27, MU intends to build on the foundation created by Mizzou Advantage by exploring new ways to invest in faculty and encourage collaboration. Click here for information on some of the new initiatives that are being planned.
What if a Mizzou Advantage funded project requires funding beyond June 30, 2018?
Projects that are underway and have been approved for funding beyond June 30 will continue to receive funding through the stipulated completion date. Research teams are expected to complete the annual Outcomes Survey through completion of the project.
What if a no-cost extension is needed for a Mizzou Advantage funded project?
Requests for no-cost extensions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The request should include the amount of funding remaining and a short, detailed description of the plans for the remaining funds. An outcomes update may also be requested prior to approval.
What is being done with proposals that are currently under consideration?
Proposals that have been submitted are being reviewed by the Office of Research. A decision on whether funding will be provided is expected in May. Only proposals that have already been submitted will be considered. Research teams are expected to complete the annual Outcomes Survey through the completion of the project.
Are Mizzou Advantage student travel awards available?
The funds that were budgeted for the student travel awards have been donated to the Office of Research and Graduates Studies and Office of Undergraduate Research. Those offices will distribute the funds to students for travel to present their research at professional meetings or conferences. Interested students should contact those offices to inquire about funding opportunities.
