Featured Profile: Steve Devlin

Steve Devlin connects resources of the University of Missouri to business and industry.

Devlin serves as the director for the University of Missouri Extension Business Development Program and is the Assistant Dean for Entrepreneurship in the MU College of Engineering. He oversees the $10.4 million statewide program that includes the:

• Missouri Small Business & Technology Development Centers

• Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center

• Environmental Assistance Center

• Workforce Development Program

• Trade Adjustment Assistance Center

• Make it in America Program

Devlin believes the Business Development Program’s mission is to grow the economy, create jobs, generate wealth and improve lives for Missourians. He and his team facilitate collaborations with public and private entities at all levels, including state and federal agencies. His goal is to provide assistance and connect business to the resources of the University of Missouri.      

Steve Devlin holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial science from Truman State University, a master’s degree in industrial technology from Iowa State University and is completing a doctorate in industrial education and technology at Iowa State University.
